SUMMARY

Reporting to the Central MRO Support Team Leader, the Central MRO Support is part of the Purchasing team, main functions are to ensure that the Branch inventories are controlled to assist in the achievement of maximum possible profit growth and defined service levels, in line with Regional and Company targets.

Supporting the Sales Team to ensure customers are managed correctly and that the communication between the site and Customers is kept to best possible standard.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Supporting the customer site network in relation to MRO spare parts as and when required.
* Dealing with Ad-Hoc queries from the Sales Team and Business Development team ensuring correct items sourced at the best price available.
* Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with colleagues in the branch network and at the center.
* Processing New Business tenders as they arise.
* Using the internal tools to ensure best purchasing practice is maintained at all times.
* Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure maximum commercial gain against defined purchasing objectives.
* Ensuring all orders placed are delivered as per customer requirements.
* Project Management of site projects in relation to new spare parts and critical spares lists.
* Ensure the ERP system is up to date when placing orders, ie costs and sell prices.

QUALIFICATIONS

* A third level qualification in a Purchasing related subject or suitable experience in the field.

EXPERIENCE

* Several Years working in a purchasing role, preferably in an MRO spares environment.
* Experience of working with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
* Working knowledge of ERP systems is essential

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

* Organised and able to multitask
* Strong team work background
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook is an advantage
* Ability to work with detailed information in a structured fashion Excellent communication and numeracy skills
* Ability to follow both written and verbal instruction Understanding of Health & Safety issues

* Conscientious and hardworking individual who has the ability to work effectively in a fast moving environment, whilst maintaining accuracy at all times.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and to deal with several issues at once.
