In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development across our region. You will design, deliver, and evaluate engaging and impactful training programs that enhance the skills, knowledge, and competence of our dedicated healthcare teams, ultimately contributing to the exceptional care we provide to our residents.
Type of Contract: Full-Time Permanent (40 hours)
Salary: 50-60K based + KPI Bonus
Key Responsibilities:
* Needs Assessment & Curriculum Development: Identify regional training needs through collaboration with site management and staff feedback. Develop and tailor engaging training programs, materials, and resources (both in-person and digital) aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements.
* Facilitation & Delivery: Deliver a range of high-quality training sessions, workshops, and induction programs for various healthcare roles, including HCAs, Nurses, and other support staff. Utilize a variety of interactive and engaging teaching methodologies.
* Evaluation & Reporting: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance indicators. Provide regular reports on training activities and outcomes to regional management.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with Nursing Home Managers, Clinical Nurse Managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure training initiatives are relevant and effectively implemented.
* Mentorship & Support: Provide coaching and support to staff to embed learning and promote professional growth. Act as a point of contact for learning and development queries within the region.
* Compliance & Best Practice: Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in healthcare and learning and development. Ensure training programs align with these standards.
* Resource Management: Manage training resources effectively, including learning materials, equipment, and budget considerations.
* E-Learning & Technology: Utilize and promote the use of our online learning platforms and HR app to enhance accessibility and engagement with training resources.
What We're Looking For:
* A relevant qualification in Education, Training & Development, Nursing, or a related healthcare field.
* Proven experience (ideally 3+ years) in a staff development, education, or training role within a healthcare setting (Nursing Home experience highly desirable).
* A strong understanding of the learning and development cycle, including needs assessment, design, delivery, and evaluation.
* Excellent facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage and motivate diverse groups.
* Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and effective training methodologies.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks within a regional remit.
* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools is an advantage.
* A passion for continuous learning and development and a commitment to empowering others.
* Full clean driving license and access to a vehicle for travel across the South Dublin region.
