They are currently looking to add to their team a Finance Team LeaderThe Finance Team Leader is responsible for managing and supporting the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable finance team. This includes overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions, and maintaining adherence to internal controls. The role also plays a key part in the month-end close process, contributing to accurate financial reporting, audit readiness, and ongoing process improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review monthly routine journals such as accruals and prepayments to ensure accurate month end reporting.Maintain and manage financial systems to support reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.Oversee the preparation of management accounts for subsidiary entities.Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions to ensure timely processing, reconciliation, and reporting.Review coding of AP and AR postings to ensure accuracy and consistency with accounting policies.Ensure month-end and year-end closing activities are completed accurately and on time.Support external audit processes through preparation of schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.Monitor financial controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.Liaise with other departments to resolve queries and improve interdepartmental processes.Provide guidance and support to the finance team to ensure continued professional development and performance.Assist the Senior Finance Team with implementation and improvements of financial systems.Support senior management by preparing or assisting with ad hoc tasks such as financial reports and analysis as needed.Key Skills & ExperiencePart-qualified or fully qualified accountant.+3years of experience in a similar finance environmentStrong understanding of financial accounting and reporting principlesExperience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SUN)High attention to detail and strong organisational skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExperience in team leadership and developmentProficient in Microsoft Excel and other standard office toolsRemuneration & BenefitsSalary €50,000-€60,000PensionProfessional subscriptions paidHybrid workingSubsidised CanteenExcellent working conditionsTraining & development opportunitiesFor more information on this role or any other Accountancy roles contact Conal O'Connor on, or click on the apply button belowTo view all live jobs with Brightwater and market insights, please visit our website;
