Operations Engineer – Solar PV (Ireland)

About the Role
We are supporting a fast-growing renewable energy platform with a strong pipeline of utility-scale solar projects across Europe.
They are now looking to hire an Operations Engineer to support one of their key assets in Ireland as it transitions into the operational phase.
This role sits on the owner’s side and focuses on performance, quality, and coordination of O&M contractors, rather than hands‑on maintenance.
The team is currently remote across Ireland, with plans to establish a Dublin presence as the business continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of a utility‑scale solar PV site
Manage and coordinate O&M contractors and service providers
Monitor site performance, availability, and quality standards
Carry out inspections and ensure works are delivered to specification
Support the transition from construction into full operations
Identify and escalation technical or performance issues
Ensure compliance with HSE and operational procedures
Requirements
Experience working on utility‑scale solar PV projects
Background in operations, O&M, or site‑based engineering roles
Strong understanding of plant performance and maintenance activities
Experience managing contractors or third‑party providers
Based in Ireland or able to work in Ireland without sponsorship
Willingness to travel regularly to site in Tipperary
Package
Salary: €75,000 – €80,000
