Field Service TechnicianField Service Technician - working on sites in IrelandOur client, a global leader in packaging solutions for food products, life sciences, healthcare, and industrial items, is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide a full range of technical support services to customers. This includes installation, service, repair, overhaul, upgrades, modifications, and training.In this role you will provide :Technical Support Services: Provide installation, maintenance, repair, upgrades, and modifications to packaging machinery and systems.Fault Diagnosis & Repair: Utilize a strong mechanical aptitude and electrical fault-finding skills to troubleshoot and repair systems.Electrical & Pneumatic Knowledge: Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic diagrams to identify faults and perform repairs.Packaging Machinery Expertise: Apply knowledge of IPC, PC, MC controls, Servo, and AC drives in packaging machinery. Experience with Robotic systems and Thermoforming is highly desirable.Self-Motivation & Initiative: Work independently or as part of a team, ensuring first-class customer service under tight schedules and pressure.Flexibility: Adapt to flexible working hours, including occasional weekends, early starts, and late finishes as requiredIdeally you will have :Educational Background: Ideally completed an Electrical/Mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.Industry Experience: Background in the service/maintenance industry, with a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.Technical Skills: Ability to read and understand electrical and pneumatic drawings.
