€50,000 - €60,000 - Full-Time, Permanent – Free Parking – Facilities
Responsibilities:
External Communications & Strategy
Lead storytelling efforts across all media channels: digital, video, print, social, and broadcast.
Promote the role and success of privatization in Irish waste management.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders—media, government, and public bodies—to advocate for circular economy initiatives.
Campaigns & Behaviour Change
Create and manage impactful campaigns that drive behavioural shifts—e.g., encouraging proper waste sorting.
Leverage real-time environmental data and tech to showcase tangible success stories.
Communicate the consequences of missing EU sustainability targets—financial, environmental, and societal.
Brand Growth & Audience Engagement
Position the company as Ireland's smarter, greener waste solution.
Conceptualize and launch creative campaigns that attract new customers and engage current ones.
Develop compelling, platform-specific content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube using humour, data, and purpose.
Internal Communications & Churn Reduction
Empower frontline teams with clear, motivating internal comms that foster a strong company culture.
Improve customer experience by ensuring all touchpoints—from app to helpdesk—are consistent, intuitive, and aligned with our brand voice.
Content Creation & Media Relations
Write, film, edit, and produce compelling on-the-ground stories that connect and convert.
Develop press relationships, pitch stories, and manage media inquiries to extend our influence.
Strategic Writing & Tenders
Craft persuasive tenders, submissions, and strategic documents that help us grow and win new contracts.
Flagship Initiative: Bags to Bins
Lead the transition of 12,000 Dublin households from refuse bags to bin collections.
Oversee campaign messaging, media outreach, door-to-door engagement, and community mobilization.
Advocate for health, safety, and environmental benefits—reducing litter, contamination, and harm to workers and the public.
What You Bring:
2+ years' experience in communications, journalism, public affairs, or content strategy.
Strong digital skills: video, podcasting, and social media content creation.
A natural storyteller with a sharp eye for human impact.
Solid understanding of public policy, government relations, and media landscapes.
Great interpersonal skills—you're as comfortable with local authorities as with frontline workers.
Versatile writing skills across formats—scripts, press releases, copywriting, and reports.
Bonus: Experience in sustainability, recycling, or environmental industries.
