We are a well-established Main Contractor seeking a skilled and motivated individual capable of carrying out a wide variety of carpentry and general building works across commercial projects in the Kilkenny/Carlow/South Kildare area.The ideal candidate will be confident working on their own initiative, able to problem-solve on site, and have the ability to take the lead on small tasks. This role includes the potential to develop into a small works supervisory position, overseeing minor projects and coordinating with subcontractors and clients where required.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out a wide range of carpentry works including first fix, second fix, roofing, and general repairs.Assist with general building works, such as blockwork, concrete works, demolition, and site preparation.Work independently to a high standard, planning and completing daily tasks without supervision.Interpret drawings and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.Support site management and potentially supervise small works projects as experience grows.Ensure all work meets company quality standards and safety regulations.Liaise with colleagues, suppliers, and occasionally clients in a professional manner.RequirementsMinimum 3 years of qualified carpentry experience (preferred).Strong knowledge of general building practices.Ability to work independently and show initiative.Good communication skills and a willingness to take on extra responsibility as needed.Supervisory or lead-hand experience (advantage but not essential).Scaffolding experience (advantage).Teleporter ticket (preferred).Full driving licence (essential).What We OfferCompetitive hourly rate (€Negotiable depending on experience).Consistent full-time work (45 hours per week).Opportunity to develop into a supervisory role.Supportive and established construction team.Variety of work across multiple project types.Job Type: Full-timeExpected hours: 45 per weekExperience:Carpentry: 3 years (required)Supervisory or lead-hand: 1 year (preferred)Licence/Certification:Teleporter (preferred)Full driving licence (required)Work Location: In person
