Overview
This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.
Role Description
Administration Assistant Work Placement Experience Programme available. The participant will assist our Audiologist and wax technician. The participant will learn how to set up for wax technician appointments, assist with the cleaning of all wax equipment and learn how to assist the Audiologist with their daily duties such as:
* Answer emails and telephone calls
* Booking Hearing Tests & Wax Appointments
* Helping patients fill in patient information books before appointments commence
* Preparing hearing aids for patients due for fitting
* Servicing and cleaning hearing aids
* Maintaining a sterile and clean environment
* Keeping up to date with all administration duties
The participants will also receive training on correct hygiene and sterilisation procedures for all equipment used by both the Audiologist and wax technician and the correct procedure for Audiology records and treatment recording.
Training
* Formal Training: IDA Patient Centered Care; Customer Service; Bespoke IT System; First Aid; Manual Handling; 20 HRs of accredited training.
* Informal Training: Training on general customer service in an audiology practice; Training on health and safety in an audiology practice; Training on in-house software.
