Job Type Permanent Full-Time Location Dublin City, County Dublin, Ireland Job Details Vhi Group Services DAC have a full-time permanent vacancy for the role of Identity and Access Management - Technical Architect based in Dublin or Kilkenny on a hybrid basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining a robust, scalable, and fully integrated identity governance and administration capability.
The role will focus on ensuring IAM solutions align with agreed security standards and industry best practices, enhancing the organisation's security posture through ongoing analysis and risk assessment of identity processes and controls.
The IAM Technical Architect will also drive the optimisation and automation of identity governance and privileged access workflows, ensuring these capabilities effectively support the business in a clear, user-centric, and highly efficient manner.

This includes the on-going provision of the IAM strategy, business and security requirements captured, standards, policies, processes, designs and capability roadmaps to meet the business need.
Provide thought leadership in the field of IAM to constantly enhance both the security posture of the business and efficiency of process.
Define the strategic and design principles governing agentic and non-human identities (e.g.
AI agents, automation accounts, service identities) Maintain a strong relationship with the business, at all levels, to ensure the business need is fulfilled and IAM and PAM processes are known and adopted across the enterprise Provide support for IAM operational processes, including identity lifecycle management, access provisioning and deprovisioning, role/entitlement maintenance and ensuring operational procedures align with architectural standards and security policies.
Provide advanced architecture and engineering support to automate and administrator identity and compliance requirements into all enterprise information systems Assess current and planned applications and architecture to ensure implementations align with industry guidelines, best practices and management approved standards.
What will you need to be successful: Education & Knowledge: A third level qualification in IT or suitable experience CISSP, CISM, CISA or other industry security certifications highly beneficial Experience: Ideally 5+ years' experience in a similar role Process driven mentality Experience in Agile and Waterfall delivery methodology Technical skills Minimum 5 years' experience operating at a technical/architectural level, with a technical security background and strong leadership capabilities.
Proven track record in the delivery of an enterprise IAM and PAM capability using best in class industry solutions Experience architecting IAM solutions with cloud providers, specifically Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) In-depth experience with Microsoft Azure AD, AWS Managed AD in relation to security architecture and integration of applications within a hybrid environment.
Strong experience with Directories, SSO, Federation and APIIntegrations Strong experience of Identity & Access governance, Multi-Factor authentication solutions and Privileged Access Management Strong knowledge of IAM related protocols such as SAML, SPML, XACML, SCIM, Open ID, and OAuth Knowledge of scripting Languages such as JSON, SQL, Groovy Knowledge of database structure and authentication models, specifically Oracle and SQL Excellent knowledge of identity lifecycle processes, workflows, SOD, attestation processes, provisioning, application reconciliation.
Desirable Knowledge of Identity Governance solutions such as Saviynt, Safeguard and Okta Interpersonal Strong communications skills, the ability to converse at a highly technical level with delivery and IT departments, while communicating effectively at the business level is critical Leadership skills to drive and guide the IAM team through effective decision making, experience and relationship building Demonstrated alignment to the Vhi values.
