The SAP Interface Lead is the organisations technical authority on SAP interfaces, integrations and middleware. This role is responsible for defining, managing and continuously improving the technical processes, standards and controls governing interfaces across the SAP landscape. Acting as a subject-matter expert, the Interface Lead ensures that integrations are robust, secure, scalable and aligned with architectural and operational requirements. The successful candidate will bring deep experience in SAP integration technologies (e.g., PI/PO, CPI, IDocs, APIs), strong technical documentation and governance skills, and the ability to guide solution design while working closely with architects, developers, functional teams and external partners. Thisisa2YearContract Position. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Technical Leadership & Expertise Serve as the organisations technical expert for SAP interfaces, integration patterns and middleware solutions. Define, document and maintain interface standards, processes, procedures and technical guidelines. Support design, configuration and troubleshooting across CPI, PI/PO, IDoc, API and other integration technologies. Integration Architecture & Solution Design Oversee end-to-end interface design, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards. Validatetechnicalspecificationsandensuretheuseofbest-practiceSAPandindustry integration patterns. Support S/4HANA integration activities including remediation, redesign or migration of legacy interfaces. Governance & Quality Assurance Maintainownershipofintegrationgovernanceframeworks,includingnamingstandards, version control, documentation and testing protocols. Ensureadherencetochangecontrol,releasemanagementandquality-assurancerequirements. Review interface-related changes, risks and issues, ensuring proper escalation and root-cause analysis. Operational Reliability & Continuous Improvement Oversee the stability, performance and monitoring of SAP interfaces across the enterprise landscape. Identifyrecurringissues,designimprovementsanddriveautomationorstandardisation opportunities. Partner with technical support teams to improve monitoring tools, alerting and integration resilience. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Workcloselywitharchitects,developers,functionalspecialistsandexternalvendorsto ensure seamless delivery. Communicatetechnicalconceptsclearlytobothtechnicalandnon-technicalstakeholders. Facilitate workshops, technical reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions. KEY SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Athird-levelqualificationinComputerScience,InformationSystems,SoftwareEngineering or a related discipline is required. Extensive hands-on experience with SAP integration technologies includingCPI, PI/PO,IDocs, APIs and related middleware solutions. Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA integration considerations and cross-module data flows. Demonstrated ability to create, manage and enforce technical standards, processes and documentation. Experiencesupportinginterfacedesign,testing,troubleshootingandoptimisationin complex multi-vendor environments. Stronganalyticaland problem-solvingskills withtheability toworkacrosstechnicaland functional domains. Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical topics clearly and effectively. Experience with public sector, security-sensitive integration environments or scalable enterprise architectures is desirable.
