We are seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Site Engineer to join our growing team and support the successful delivery of high quality projects.
The Civil Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing the civil site execution on the project site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, technical standards, specifications, statutory requirements, budgets and project time schedules.
Key Role and Responsibilities: Management (execution, supervision and compliance) of all civil works on the project site.
Management of the civil sub-contractors onsite including co-ordinating their works, Progress monitoring, HSE compliance enforcement, interface coordination, managing their contracts with the support of the commercial team and assessing their payment applications.
Coordinating the civil site works with the other disciplines working onsite.
Checking the detailed design for constructability and suggesting value engineering solutions where possible.
Ensuring design clarifications are technically sound and constructible and are sent to the design engineers and that the design engineers respond in a timely manner.
Support in the checking of Bills of Quantities and executed bill of quantities.
Provide direction, coaching, and mentoring to the entry-level engineers and field civil associates while driving accountability.
Lead or participate in various engineering process improvement procedures.
Determine root cause and resolution of civil construction issues (defects, failures, or site issues) as quickly as possible by utilizing troubleshooting best practices.
Maintain implement Health, Safety, Quality Environmental Systems meeting the needs of ISO *****, ISO **** and ISO ***** and any subsequent or related standards.
These responsibilities may be amended from time to time in line with project requirements and company business needs.
Minimum Qualifications Degree in Civil Engineering 5+ years of site construction experience.
Ability to lead and manage people, coordinate multiple activities, and read and understand Drawings.
Strong ability to plan and perform highly complex operations with authority to make decisions autonomously.
Must have a valid driver license.
Knowledgeable in CSA rules and regulations.
Strong communication, coordination, and time management skills.
Skilled in problem solving, analytics, and Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word.
