We have a fantastic opening for a senior H&S professional to take the lead in ensuring safety for one of our key global accounts in Ireland. If you are a strategic safety professional with excellent customer-facing and leadership skills, this is your chance to make a real impact and be part of our dynamic team.
What will you be doing?
* Provide H&S advice to the senior management team and directors
* Develop and drive a proactive Health & Safety culture
* Development of policies and SOPs in collaboration with key stakeholders
* Complete internal audits, supplier audits and support business units with external ISO accreditation audits (45001/14001)
* Investigate incidents and accidents with the site management teams and agree actions to reduce risk of incident recurring
* Liaising with the enforcing authorities in support of the site management teams
* Support the business in the procurement and selection of contractors
* Identify and advocate for best industry practices to drive continuous improvement.
* Advise senior management on the implications of current and emerging H&S legislation
* Monthly reporting and analysis as per Schenker and customer requirements
* Working with DBS H&S teams, contractors and customers across EMEA
