Trade Bid is Ireland's most advanced digital trade marketplace that allows car dealerships, manufacturers & lease companies to buy and sell trade vehicles with over 1,500 trusted dealerships on the platform.
Trade Bid condition assesses the car using AI technology as well as a full history check per vehicle allowing potential buyers across the country to bid and buy with certainty without the need to take time out of the showroom to physically assess stock.
Trade Bid recently launched Trade Desk, Irelands only digital real-time underwriting platform using AI tech and data ensuring maximum market value enabling dealers convert more enquiries to sales.
Trade Bid also provide stocking finance, seamless and fast transport and makes payment for the vehicle as seller or buyer a very simple process.
We are looking for a passionate, dynamic, results driven Head of Negotiations to join the Trade Bid leadership team in the Republic of Ireland.
Role Overview This is a fantastic opportunity for an energetic, strategic, commercially astuteindividual to join a successful automotive technology company and be an integral part of our exponential growth.
You will report directly to the Commercial Director based out of our Dublin offices and hybrid working is currently in place.
This role is pivotal in driving the commercial success of our two product offers within the Trade Bid Auctions business, by managing key relationships, driving sales strategies, and ensuring operational excellence in vehicle acquisition and sales.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Performance Team Leadership: Steer and lead the buyer and negotiations teams on performance measurement, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), performance gap analysis, and risk mitigation actions.
Commercial Strategy: Develop strategies and campaigns to increase platform listings and sales volumes, leveraging insights from Trade Bid Auctions internal data warehouse, market reports and data services.
Target Setting: Set and monitor performance of targets for the team and manage compensation and commission structures accordingly to drive performance.
Operational Execution & Platform Integration Platform Management: Ensure all product streams, including Trade Bid, Trade Desk, and other Trade Bid Auctions offerings, are delivered in balance and according to the Annual Plan and Quarterly Forecasts.
Negotiation & Arbitration: Act as a primary contact for escalated commercial matters and lead complex negotiations with clients, suppliers, and third parties.
Oversee the team's use of the established arbitration policies for dispute resolution, common within the Trade Bid platform, to maintain marketplace integrity.
Team Management & Development Mentorship & Training: Hire, train, coach, and mentor Team Members, actively managing day-to-day activities to foster a high-performing team.
Hands On Role: As well as mentor and coach, engaging directly in significant client transactions when required and providing guidance and support for new customer on-boarding.
Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: Demonstrated commercial leadership experience, preferably within the wholesale automotive or technology/auction sectors, with a proven track record of driving sales performance and leading teams.
Negotiation Expertise: Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to negotiate deals that convert sales into long-term strategic business relationships.
Leading the negotiation team ensuring maximum sales conversion Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of digital marketplaces and the competitive landscape of online vehicle auctions, leveraging data and technology to drive efficiency and transparency.
Detailed knowledge of the automotive industry in Ireland essential.
Strong networks among franchise and non-franchise dealer networks a significant advantage.
Analytical Skills: Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills to interpret market data, performance metrics, and financial reports.
About You Experience as Account Territory Manager essential and Automotive Dealer Network experience helpful Past experience leading a sales team essential and operating at a senior level with ability to report to Senior Leadership Team summarising performance and actions, reducing risk to under-performance.
Proficient in Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Power Point, Word).
Understanding business requirements and being able to recognise new business opportunities.
Strong sales capability to take advantage of the opportunities using consultative/collaborative and solution selling skills.
Able to close out opportunities to convert them into sales and turn the sales into long term strategic business.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate confidently at all organisational levels and with clients.
Ability to be proactive and stay ahead in a constantly changing environment.
