Key Account Executive – Pharmaceuticals
Role: Full Time
Location: West of Ireland
The Role
We’re seeking an ambitious and customer-focused Key Account Executive to join a Commercial Team and develop business by promoting Retail products.
Your main goal will be to achieve sales objectives across your designated range of key accounts and prospects for new business, while developing business plans in your territory. You will also cover a limited number of Specialty Brands products in a hospital environment.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll establish effective relationships with a broad range of contacts across allocated accounts to ensure opportunities are identified and solutions implemented.
As part of your role, you’ll analyse and provide effective market feedback on competitors, and maintain a regularly updated competitor and partner pricelist for the commercial team.
You’ll also employ effective monthly and other promotional schemes to ensure maximum impact, utilising marketing tools and implementing pricing strategies.
The role is field-based, with monthly meetings at the company’s head office in Cork.
The Person
* Previous experience in the pharmaceutical sector in a similar role
* Good knowledge of the local pharmaceutical/generics landscape
* Highly tuned negotiation skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with credibility in the field
* Excellent organisational skills – able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Strong team player with the ability to work on their own initiative
* Educated to degree level
* Willingness and ability to travel within the territory
