Company Overview:
Your new company is a mid-sized fabrication firm specializing in second-hand steel for Ireland's major civil engineering contractors.
About the Role:
* Key Responsibilities:
* Review architectural and structural drawings to grasp project specifics.
* Create detailed 2D/3D models of steel components, including beams, columns, and stairways using specialized software.
* Develop comprehensive shop drawings with dimensions, connection details, and material information for fabrication and site assembly.
* Calculate precise quantities of required steel materials.
* Liaise with engineers, architects, project managers, and fabricators to address design changes and ensure compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
You'll ideally have either a degree in BIM/Civil or Structural Engineering or relevant experience working with CAD/Tekla/Solidworks/Revit on steel projects.
