Piling Engineer

A Piling Engineer is required for a leading specialist piling and ground engineering contractor working on major projects across Dublin and Kildare. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineer to join a reputable company and play a key role in delivering technically challenging piling and foundation projects. The successful piling engineer will have a strong background in piling works, ground engineering, or geotechnical projects and will be confident managing the technical and quality aspects of site operations.


Duties

* Plan, set out, and oversee piling operations on site.
* Supervise and coordinate site activities in line with project drawings, specifications, and health & safety standards.
* Liaise closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, and design teams to ensure works are executed efficiently and accurately.
* Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and ensure compliance with project and client requirements.
* Prepare daily site records, progress reports, and as‑built documentation.
* Assist with method statements, risk assessments, and technical submissions.
* Manage subcontractors and ensure that all works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
* Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.


Requirements

* Degree‑qualified in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a piling engineer in piling, ground engineering, or deep foundation projects in Ireland or the UK.
* Strong technical understanding of piling techniques (e.g., CFA, rotary bored, driven piles).
* Excellent setting‑out, surveying, and reporting skills.
* Good working knowledge of health & safety and quality standards.
* Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and relevant site engineering software.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Fluent English and eligible to work in Ireland.
* Full clean driving licence.
