Advanced Medical Services (AMS) is the leading provider of onsite health screening and medical services to organisations' across Ireland.We are seeking experienced Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) for full and part-time roles. This is role is an exciting opportunity to work with AMS onsite in their corporate clients. Occupational Health experience is ideal, or someone completing the Occupational Health Course.Location: Different locations across the country such as Tipperary, Dublin, Cavan, the Midlands and West of Ireland.Ideal candidates will have: Proven experience as an Occupational Health Nurse. Background in occupational health within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety practices. Ability to deliver thorough medical assessments and clear, professional health advice.Scope of WorkAs Appointed Designated Healthcare Professional (DHCP)Ensure the provision of OH services for employees according to company Standards and local requirements.Oversee and support OH doctor activities.Oversee the annual review of the site(s) OH service plan.Medical Records CustodianManage employee medical records on AMS electronic medical record system to ensure confidential and secure collection, storage and maintenance of employee medical records.Medical surveillance programConduct annual review of medical surveillance program with site EHS professionals.Coordinate, conduct (if necessary) and interpret medical surveillance results.Maintain site surveillance records and surveillance tracking using AMS Software.Communicate results of surveillance assessments to workers.Refer workers to GP for evaluation and treatment of non-work-related abnormal assessment results.Pre-hire medical assessmentsReview and provide outcome of pre-hire medical assessments to TA. Seek medical opinion of OH doctor as needed.Injury and illness managementCoordinate the treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses and ensure appropriate follow-up care and consultation.Advise relevant business stakeholders on outcome of work-related injuries/illness for reporting and management.Medical consultation (absence/ medical accommodation)Coordinate requests for medical review/accommodations, refer to OH physician for opinion as needed.Interpret medical reports and communicate work restrictions to the worker's supervisor, the site EHS professional and HR, where applicable.Health & well-beingHealth and wellness champion, support health and wellbeing events calendar.Support OH Scorecard requirements and annual targets.EHS technical supportConduct reproductive risk assessment, injury reporting and management to EHS.Provide ergo, biosafety and radiation interpretation as needed.First aid supportManage first aiders team, including tracking training, hepatitis B program.Support compliance with First Aid procedure and AED program.If you're passionate about promoting workplace wellness and have the expertise to support a safe working environment, we'd love to hear from you.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timeWork Location: In person
