Job Overview
The Strategic Business Operations Manager will drive operational excellence and strategic planning within the Away From Home (AFH) channel at Britvic Ireland. This pivotal role leads the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle for AFH, aligning commercial, supply chain, marketing, finance and quality teams. Acting as a central coordination point, the manager supports the AFH Commercial Controller in managing key customer contracts and ensuring delivery of commercial, operational and service commitments.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Planning: Develop and implement Britvic Ireland's strategy to drive sustainable growth and profitability within the AFH channel.
* Operational Management: Oversee daily operations with a focus on efficiency and adherence to quality standards. Own the end-to-end IBP process for the Away From Home channel and specific contractual management elements.
* Multifunctional Team Leadership: Establish and build a dedicated Multifunctional Team (MFT) to ensure operational excellence and effective integration of key metrics into the Britvic Ireland business cycle.
* P&L Management: Support the AFH Controller and Marketeer in delivering agreed annual and long-term targets. Lead monthly cycle preparation, performance reviews and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making.
* Team Development: Provide support, mentorship and development opportunities to foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on growth.
* Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders. Translate commercial and brand strategies into executable operational plans.
* Contract Management: Serve as internal lead for managing strategic customer agreements ensuring delivery of contractual obligations and performance targets. Coordinate cross‑functional input for seamless execution while monitoring KPIs and service metrics.
* Compliance: Ensure operations adhere to health, safety, legal and regulatory standards, along with internal business policies.
* Cross-Functional Leadership: Facilitate governance and communication across departments to align on key priorities and performance outcomes. Drive accountability and continuous improvement initiatives throughout operations and supply chain.
Requirements
* Experience: Proven experience in business operations, commercial management, commercial planning or supply chain management – ideally within FMCG or consumer goods sectors.
* Technical Skills:
o Strong understanding of IBP or S&OP processes, including demand and supply planning, forecasting and financial integration.
o Proficiency in financial management and reporting.
o Experience with technology integration and process optimisation.
* Leadership Skills:
o Excellent strategic planning and execution capabilities across teams and complex stakeholder environments.

Education and Qualifications
