Finance & Operations Manager - Machinelab Limited
The Role
You will take on the leadership of the operations and production sector within our business to drive continuous improvement in project management and operational excellence, by taking responsibility for machining, assembly, fabrication and the logistics departments. You would be working closely with our Design, Production, Contracts, Purchasing and Commercial managers in co-ordinating and planning all our operational & logistic activities. See below some of the key functions / responsibilities you will be required to perform:
Responsibilities may include:
* Financial Compliance – VAT/Corporation Tax/PAYE/Returns
* Financial Governance – Cash Flow Management / Project Milestone / Payments/
* Development of the ERP System for Deep Understanding of Costs and Development of KPIs
* Identify opportunities for waste reduction using 5S, Lean and other methods.
* Manage Project and Payment Milestones of multiple projects
* Work closely with the Technical Leaders to plan production and prioritise work
* Ensure high level of quality and customer focus.
* Participate in meetings with customers to provide updates on their projects.
* Manage the Operational Tools which are necessary to minimise risk to the business, such as:
* Cash Flow
* WIP
* Cost Containment (Procurement /Materials and Resource Planning)
* Procedures to control High Risks
* Manage the aspects of the business which impact on Cash Flow such as:
* Finance
* Logistics
* Goods Inward/Stock Management
* Purchasing
* Build strong team environment, culture of teamwork, collaboration, continuous improvement and excellence.
* Drive productivity using SCRUM/Agile methodology (daily focus meetings, weekly planning)
* Identify opportunities for waste reduction using 5S, Lean and other methods.
* Ensure timely input of data into the ERP system
* Manage delivery of multiple projects – Schedules, Payment Milestones etc
* Work closely with the Technical Leaders to plan production and prioritise work
* Ensure high level of quality and customer focus.
* Participate in meetings with customers to provide updates on their projects.
* Develop workflow & processes for the assembly & commissioning team to include Skills Matrices, Visual Standards.
* Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by the team members.
* Manage the Operational Tools which are necessary to minimise risk to the business, such as:
· Cash Flow
· WIP
· Cost Containment (Procurement /Materials and Resource Planning)
· Process Mapping to identify how the Customer Contracts are Realised so that what they have bought is delivered on time and in full.
· Procedures to control High Risks

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €35,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
