Key Responsibilities & OutcomesWorking within the Commercial Retail team, this individual will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and ongoing maintenance of EPOS database systems. Reporting to the Database Manager, the ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with strong Excel skills, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to grow and develop within the role.Day-to-day responsibilities include:Supporting the database team in the ongoing maintenance of EPOS systemsUpdating and managing product standards across categories, pricing, and brandingCollaborating with wholesale purchasing teams and third-party suppliers to ensure accurate product dataLiaising with external service providers (e.g., McLernons, Azpiral) to deliver optimal support to the businessAdhering to and continuously improving database processesEnsuring timely import and setup of approved productsConfiguring promotions and loyalty offers in line with promotional calendarsResponding to store EPOS queries promptly and professionallyAssisting with any additional database-related projects or requests as neededKey Skills & ExperienceAdvanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate, analyse, and present large datasets effectivelyStrong general IT knowledge, particularly in working with data-driven systems (non-networking)Proven experience managing and maintaining large databases and handling high volumes of product or transactional dataDemonstrated ability to compile clear, insightful management reports from available data sourcesFamiliarity with EPOS systems is essential — this role is focused on EPOS operations and does not involve IT networking, Python, or SQL developmentExcellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to data accuracy and integrityStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with commercial, purchasing, and supplier teamsAdditional InformationThis role is based in Citywest, Dublin, and will require regular in-person collaboration.
