Qualified Financial Accountant
Our client in North Wicklow is seeking a Qualified Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the company's financial success and join a collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Compile monthly management accounts, delivering meaningful variance analysis and clear commentary.
* Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger and all financial records.
* Ensure intercompany balances are accurately reconciled and that foreign exchange is managed during the consolidation process.
* Timely and accurate preparation and submission of VAT, HMRC, and other statutory tax returns (including VAT, RTD, VIES, PAYE).
* Perform financial analysis to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities for business improvement.
* Provide analytical and financial support to the CFO as needed.
* Oversee the full payroll cycle for group entities.
* Prepare and file all payroll-related returns.
* Manage the supplier ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
* Promote collaboration across the company and maintain strong communication with internal departments and external partners.
* Keep ahead of industry developments and best practices.
* Support on various ad-hoc finance projects and assist with financial research when required.
Key Requirements:
* Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
* Solid technical accounting expertise.
* Demonstrated experience in producing financial statements, management accounts, and conducting financial analysis.
* Sound knowledge of Irish tax laws, including VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax.
* Strong IT proficiency, especially in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
* Experience with AccountsIQ is considered an advantage.
