A leading food manufacturer is seeking a Deputy Quality Manager to support the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving site-wide food safety and quality standards. This company is known for its strong culture, employee development, and being a great place to work.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain QMS, FSMS, HACCP, and GMP systems.
- Act as site lead during audits and inspections.
- Lead QA team in the absence of the Quality Manager.
- Manage internal audits, non-conformance investigations, and customer complaints.
- Own and manage Pest Control and Cleaning/Hygiene Programs.
- Work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and R&D teams.
- Lead, train, and support a team of 4 QA Technicians.
- Promote food safety culture and food defence initiatives.
You Will Need
- Degree in Food Science or related field.
- 5+ years' experience in food manufacturing quality roles.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, food safety legislation, and retailer standards.
- Skilled in audits, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
