Job Opportunity: Field Service Engineer
Our client is a global leader in fire protection and detection solutions, delivering innovative systems across multiple industries to ensure safety and compliance with the highest international standards.
As part of a strategic expansion, they are now looking to hire a Field Service Engineer to support clients across the Midlands region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team of skilled engineers committed to excellence in service delivery and technical support.
A full, clean driver’s licence is essential for this role due to travel requirements within the region.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain and service fire alarm systems, air sampling systems, and other safety-related technologies at client sites across the Midlands.
* Serve as the professional and courteous point of contact for clients while on-site—strong customer service skills are essential.
* Carry out scheduled maintenance and servicing per industry regulations and company standards.
* Complete all necessary service documentation and reports accurately and on time.
* Perform minor installation works when required.
* Participate in the on-call rota alongside the wider service team, with flexibility to handle client needs outside of regular hours when needed.
Requirements:
* Ideally, a qualified electrician; however, applications from experienced maintenance technicians looking for a career change will be considered.
* A background in the fire protection or building services industry is highly desirable.
* Full, clean driving licence required.
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when dealing with clients on-site.
