Job Purpose:
* Assist in providing high-quality care to residents, working collaboratively to achieve excellent standards.

Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:

* FETEC/NFQ Level 5 or equivalent, with a willingness to engage in ongoing training and development.
Main Responsibilities:
Care:
* Maintain high standards of care by supporting residents with daily activities such as washing, toileting, dressing, and undressing.
* Support residents' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs while respecting their comfort and dignity.
* Assist residents with limited mobility or physical/learning difficulties, utilizing aids as necessary.
* Monitor residents who may be confused or display behavioral issues.
* Promote continence and assist with end-of-life care, including support for dying residents.
* Engage residents in social activities, hobbies, and interests within the care centre.
* Respond promptly to the Nurse call system, visitors, and phone calls, providing assistance and passing messages.
* Report on residents' wellbeing under the supervision of senior care staff.
* Conduct regular checks on residents as directed.
* Welcome visitors, provide refreshments, and assist as needed.
* Make and change beds, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness in accordance with policies.
* Use resources responsibly and maintain equipment used by residents and relatives.
* Care for residents' clothing and rooms, ensuring proper recording and labeling.
* Maintain privacy and dignity for residents at end-of-life and during bereavement, following policies.
* Assist residents during meal times, considering dietary and swallowing needs, and help with serving and cleaning.
* Escort residents to and from outings, hospital visits, etc.
* Uphold integrity and confidentiality in all dealings with residents' personal and financial matters.
