As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team and assist the Finance Manager & Admin team. Working as an Accounts Technician you will:
Bank Reconciliations: Enter transactions and prepare monthly bank reconciliations for multiple entities
Supplier Invoices: Process supplier invoices and prepare electronic payments, monthly supplier reconciliations, and follow up on queries
Monthly Management Accounts: Assist with preparation of Month-end management accounts for multiple entities, including control account reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, journal postings, and detailed analysis of overheads
VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely and accurate manner
Accounting System: Utilize Accounts IQ Accounting system to process transactions, reconcile accounts, and generate financial reports
Monitor Mailboxes – Resolution of queries
Intercompany reconciliations – Ensure all transactions are correctly charged between locations
Ad-hoc Financial Projects: Support ad-hoc financial projects, KPI's and initiatives as assigned by Finance Manager, contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency
What Skills You Need
Working as an Accounts Technician/Accounts Assistant you will need:
Accounting Technicians of Ireland or equivalent
Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Familiarity with VAT regulations and procedures, including experience in preparing and submitting VAT returns
Proficiency in accounting software and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of hospitality systems similar to Procure-wizard an advantage.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
Have a flexible approach and an ability to work on own initiative
