Real People Recruitment is working with an international company that produces and distributes paint products to help them hire a Paint Mixer. Based in a facility in Rathcoole, Dublin West, this role aims to satisfy customers and meet company goals.
The blender will be required to define and coordinate established production specifications and schedules, including volume, cost, and wastage targets. This person is also responsible for implementing the QC policy at all stages of manufacturing in compliance with various regulations and quality standards.
Overview
Job Title: Paint Mixer
Location: Aerodrome Business Park, Rathcoole
Salary: €35,000 per year, based on experience.
Contract: Permanent role, employed directly by the company. Probation period applicable.
Start date: 2nd of July, 2025, or ASAP.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Blend and mix custom paint orders within specific guidelines and by the specified due date, including blending initial batches, shade adjustments, filling, and labeling batches.
* Implement the QC Policy in consultation with the Facility Manager and Technical Manager.
* Evaluate critical deviations and address Major Malfunctions.
* Validate the choice of producing tools in agreement with the Facility Manager to ensure reliable manufacturing processes.
* Improve and maintain the RFT (Right First Time) target at 90%.
* Problem-solving related to product viscosity, colour, drying, etc., and addressing issues promptly.
* Use computer tools to analyze data.
* Manage batch sizes within +/- 10% of the order size.
* Follow Waste Minimization Plan, PSR SOPs, Hazardous Material Handling Procedures, and all safety procedures.
* Make shade, gloss, and viscosity adjustments to meet customer requirements and facility colour guidelines.
* Prepare spray-out and draw-down test panels.
POSITION CHALLENGES:
Prioritize daily order workload to meet deadlines.
Ensure product meets customer quality and service expectations.
Ensure compliance with safety and security regulations at all times.
Experience Required
* Experience in blending or mixing paint, ideally in a hardware shop, with experience in mixing paints.
* Strong attention to detail, especially regarding colours.
* Ability to work well as part of a team.
* Flexible and motivated approach to work.
