Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will work in a production facility, using the most advanced, energy-efficient technology, creating a range of exceptional products. The company is part of a global organisation offering exciting possibilities for progression.RoleResponsibility for the Siemens PCS7 central control system on-site, ensuring it operates efficiently and effectively.Network Owner, responsible for all servers and control system software and communication.Design and programming of software for projects and plant modifications as required.Software modifications, fault finding, PID loop set-up and tuning, and assistance to engineers on control systems issues.Commissioning and signal checking for projects and plant modifications.Maintenance of operator stations and plant visualisation software.To coordinate the uploading of new software and upgrades where necessary.Coordinate activities with expert engineers from Control System suppliersRequirements:Degree or similar qualification in a technical engineering related discipline.Experience of PCS7, Step 7, Simatic Manager and WinCC preferredMin 5 years’ relevant hands-on experience in industryExperience with Windows operating systems, security and network configuration.Experience with the following PLC programming languages: CFC, FBD and STL.Some exposure to SQL and a high-level programming language.Knowledge of system archiving/restoration and OT cyber security tools and practices.Excellent communication and relationship building skills.The successful candidate will receive the necessary training to broaden their existing knowledge.
