The business is dynamic and exciting while our company continues to focus on our high standards, teamwork and ultimately delivering the best results for our clients and customers.Due to the scale, pace, and complexity of our business, we are now seeking an experienced Account Executive/Planner to join our existing team. In this role they would be involved in overseeing the day-to-day operations of 30 drivers and trucks. This is a critical role within our organisation which will ensure service excellence, operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be expected to help us to ensure we maintain our strong customer relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesTo assist in the management in all aspects of the daily operations:Book, plan and coordinate jobs for customer accounts using our Transport Management System.Using our tracking system to monitor trucks and drivers and ensure jobs are on time, while pre-empting problems and devising plans and solutions in real time.Plan, monitor or adjust routes for drivers and re-organise daily plans in the event of unforeseen issues or changes as they occur.Liaise and communicate with customers to ensure timely updates on job status and information.Assist the management team to respond to customer requests and matters, in an effective and efficient way.Address and resolve live issues, incidents or breakdowns in a timely manner.Co-ordinate solutions with clients, customers and drivers resolving delays or disruptions in real time.Manage drivers with professionalism, ensuring their working hours align with company policy and Tachograph requirements.Foster a respectful and supportive environment, acting as a point of contact and support for drivers when needed.Listen to drivers concerns, look for solutions and resolutions if necessary.Ensure all relevant customer and delivery information for each job is entered into the booking system.Assist the team to ensure all costs are charged and processed.Monitor and report on driver behaviour, vehicle damage, maintenance issues and customer feedback or any factors that may impact the planning team's ability to perform their duties or that may create additional costs.This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be updated or modified as needed to meet the evolving needs of the company.Key Skills, Knowledge and Requirements:Proven track record in the transport & logistics industry.Minimum 2 years' experience working with transport operations.Proficiency in the Computer and software Skills.Experience with transport management systems desirable.Excellent Microsoft 365 and Microsoft office skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to travel independently to our depot in Finglas.Eligibility to work legally in Ireland.Additional informationworking hours will be agreed during the recruitment process.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:On-site parkingWork Location: In person
