Job Title: Primary Care Psychologist
About the Role
The Staff Grade Psychologist will play a key role in supporting the reduction of waiting lists for psychological services within a Primary Care setting.
* Undertake initial psychological assessments for clients on the waiting list.
* Provide brief, evidence-based psychological interventions (e.g., CBT, ACT, solution-focused or guided self-help approaches).
* Develop and deliver group-based interventions or psychoeducation programmes as appropriate.
* Collaborate with GPs, primary care teams and other allied health professionals to support integrated care.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with professional and service standards.
* Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and supervision.
Service Development
1. Create strategies to reduce waiting times and enhance service efficiency through collaboration across disciplines.
2. Collect data related to referrals processed including measures like wait times outcomes.
