Job Description:
The Commercial Finance Manager role is a key position in driving business performance by providing financial analysis, strategic insights, and decision support to finance teams.
Main duties & responsibilities include:
* Commercial Finance: Work with business leaders to understand business drivers, provide financial support & reporting, insights, and analysis, detailed commercial analysis of trends/ customers/ products, including tender/ contract review, modelling & transaction/opportunity analysis.
* M&A: Support financial integration of acquisitions, complete detailed review of new acquired entity processes across financial report, tax, commercial finance. Work with newly acquired entities to identify gaps and develop plans and processes to ensure effective financial efficient integration, meeting group deadlines.
* Reporting: Responsibility for preparation and presentation of monthly business reporting packs unit (incorporating multiple entities) to tight deadlines. Provide financial insight and support to drive positive business outcomes, development of a suite of KPIs to track performance, identify risks and opportunities.
* Financial Control: Work with entity finance teams to ensure an accurate and timely month end close. Complete monthly control review of each entity, incorporating detailed review of entity P&L, balance sheet, and overall operations.
* Audit: Work with entity finance teams to deliver Group audit requirements (internal & external). Review of entity statutory accounts. Ownership and co-ordination of divisional risk register, divisional finance governance manual, and divisional accounting policies.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify improvement opportunities that drive strong foundation of financial control with common processes in place across all entities. Work with teams to implement process improvements that drive commercial and financial results.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Chartered Accountant: Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5+ years PQE.
* Commercial Acumen: Strong Commercial Acumen is essential.
* Communication: Excellent communication skills and presentation skills, with demonstrated experience working with non-financial managers.
* Computer Literacy: High level of computer literacy (SAP preferred) with strong financial systems & process knowledge, experience of financial controls and procedures.
* M&A Experience: Experience in working with ever evolving and growing environments, demonstrated flexibility to manage competing priorities.
