The Social & Recreational Support Worker supports adults with severe/profound intellectual disabilities and additional support needs living in the service, to achieve the good things in life through the provision of a comprehensive programme that supports each person to have choice and control in their life, fulfil their social, cultural, and recreational needs, develop and maintain personal relationships and links with the wider community.
The focus will be within a social model of care and support, ensuring that each adult has opportunities to participate in meaningful activities, appropriate to his/her interests and preferences and that reflect his/her needs, interests, and capacities.

Essential Criteria - ideally the successful candidate will possess the following:
* Minimum desirable requirement is FETAC level 5 Certificate, preferably in the area of health care, community care, care for people with disabilities.
* Experience in a similar environment supporting adults with intellectual and physical disabilities.
* Full clean driver's licence a requirement of the role as successful candidate will be expected to be able to drive supported adults to relevant activities.
* Flexibility around working hours to include evenings and weekends.
