At Gourmet Food Parlour, we have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic, experienced Part time Barista to join our team in our Dun Laoghaire Restaurant.
We're looking for someone who's excited to come in to work every day and who's ready to develop the team, grow with the brand & tackle challenges. This is a part time, weekend position although additional work may be available during holiday periods.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven work experience working as a barista/ floor staff. Minimum 1 year experience.
Experience working as waiting staff in a front of house environment.
Excellent customer service skills, knowledge of upselling.
Good food knowledge, allergen training, menu knowledge.
Excellent knowledge of preparing all coffee types and hot beverages that meet quality standards
Knowledge of operating/maintaining and cleaning coffee machine and grinder.
Preparation of dessert plates and displays.
Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
Ability to keep the bar /waitress stations organized, stocked and clean
Making drinks and remembering cocktail recipes
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings
Be able to recommend options based on a customers preferences
Properly handle and maintain all equipment
Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner
Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures
Observe relevant health and safety standards
Clean bar/ floor and all equipment and reset and restock up for the next shift as necessary.
