EHS Advisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking an EHS Advisor to implement and maintain effective EHS Management Systems, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
* Provide expert EHS advice, guidance, and training to enhance employee knowledge and skills.
* Lead by example, promoting a positive safety culture throughout the organization.
* Develop, review, and maintain project-specific EHS Plans, RAMS, and related documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
* Conduct regular audits, inspections, and incident investigations to identify areas for improvement.
* Identify training needs, deliver sessions, and maintain accurate records of employee training and development.
* Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and risks, providing recommendations for process improvements.
* Ensure full compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and organizational procedures.
* Support the prevention of incidents through proactive hazard identification and risk management strategies.
* Represent EHS at site, regional, and client meetings to promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
Requirements:
* 3+ years of experience in EHS within construction or a similar industry (electrical, mechanical, CSA preferred).
* Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and Certificate in Environmental Management.
* Relevant certifications: Safe Pass, CSCS, Train the Trainer, First Aid, ISO14000 & ISO45000 internal auditor.
* Solid knowledge of Construction Regulations, CDM roles, and EHS Management Systems.
* Strong communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality EHS reports.
* Membership of IOSH or equivalent professional body.
