Fire Safety Engineer Position

Salary Information
The salary for this role ranges from €60,000 to €65,000 for entry-level positions and up to €80,000 for more senior roles, with annual increments.
Job Description
This position involves ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and protecting staff, patients, and the public in medical facility premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Regularly inspecting fire safety equipment, means of escape, and premises to ensure compliance with regulations.
* Developing and reviewing fire safety orders, evacuation plans, and fire drills for various buildings.
* Providing staff training on fire hazards, equipment use, evacuation procedures, and fire prevention.
* Ensuring the fire-fighting water supply is adequate and hydrants are clearly marked.
* Monitoring and advising on the implementation of fire safety regulations, including the Fire Services Act and Health Technical Memorandum 05.
* Conducting fire safety audits, reporting any breaches, and assisting in setting up emergency plans.
* Collaborating with management on health, safety, and fire prevention training, and advising on risk assessments for fire and infrastructural risks.
* Regularly reporting on fire safety performance and maintaining accurate records of inspections and incidents.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
* A Level 7 qualification in Fire Engineering (Level 8 for more senior roles).
* A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a fire safety role.
* Technical knowledge of fire safety regulations and risk assessments.
* Familiarity with the construction and maintenance of buildings and fire safety systems.
