New Horizons Manager Self-Directed Services and Support Internal Expression of Interest Clinical Nurse Manager 2 / Social Care Leader Service: New Horizons Full Time, Permanent Horizons is seeking a qualified and experienced Manager to join our team on a full-time basis.
This role involves supporting individuals living in community residences to flourish and lead lives of their choosing.
You will work in partnership with the person, their natural support network, and the wider Horizons team to deliver high-quality, person-centred supports.

Who this EOI for: The Expression of Interest for New Horizons Manager is open to Social Care Leader and Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Grades, currently working in Horizons only who: Are passionate about leadership and service development.
Have experience working in residential and / or community care settings.
Are committed to professional growth and development including pursuing a relevant management qualification.
Eligibility Requirements Eligible applicants must possess one of the following: Nursing Professionals: A Nursing qualification (RNID, RGN) & are currently working in Horizons as a Clinical Nurse Manager 2.
Social Care Professionals: Relevant qualifications in Social Care (BA in Social Care, QQI Level 7 or 8) and are currently working in Horizons as a Social Care Leader.
Have a relevant qualification in the Community and Social sector (Level 7 or Level 8) and are currently working in Horizons as a CNM2/Social Care Leader.
Essential Criteria Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
OR Be registered with the Social Care Workers Register maintained by Social Care Workers Registration Board maintained by CORU.
AND Hold a relevant management qualification and / or demonstrate willingness to attain a management qualification.
Have 5 years post qualification experience in the sector.
Have at least 3 years' experience in managing and leading Health and Social Care Services.
Have a Full Clean Drivers License and access to own vehicle.
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate working with a wide range of individuals and groups.
Experience managing complex cases and supporting people with Intellectual Disability and Mental Health needs.
Experience with Supported people through Self-Directed Living (SSDL) models and Social Role Valorisation (SRV).
Experience managing complex risk, liaising with Safeguarding and Protection Teams (SPT) and other external stakeholders.
Be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft word, teams and Excel Location New Horizons Manager will be assigned to our New Horizons support service.
Reporting Relationship Regional Manager - Self Directed Services and Supports Salary: Department of Health & Children Consolidated Scales apply.
Social Care Leader : The 7-point salary scale for the post as of 01/08/2025: €56,351, €57,569, €58,786, €62,032, €63,291, €64,540, €65,807 Clinical Nurse Manager 2: The 11-point salary scale for the post as of 01/08/2025: €61,463, €62,481, €63,342, €64,747, €66,300, €67,826, €69,351, €71,068, €72,662 €75,405, €77,666 LSI New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale.
Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011).
Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies.
