Role Description
As an Account Executive within the Commercial team, you will be the main point of contact to the customer for accounts in the multiples, convenience and impulse channels. You will be responsible for co‑ordinating all promotional activity for each account and handle all account head office and customer queries. You will report directly to the National Account Manager and will have day one accountability. This will become a customer facing role with numerous cross‑functional elements.
Responsibilities
Provide ongoing support for the National Account Manager by maintaining customer price files, promotional proposals, sales reporting, forecasting etc.
Work directly with the National Account Manager to optimise promotional effectiveness and implement customer business plans to align with set strategies.
Work cross‑functionally with the supply chain and NPD teams to ensure forecast objectives and targets are achieved.
Collate all promotional activity and communicate to Field Sales Teams.
Own the Weekly Pricing Scorecard, ensuring pricing alignment with all customers.
Create promotional submissions for Account teams to communicate.
Manage customer trade shows and trade days, coordinating with Channel Marketing.
Act as point of contact for Accounts Receivable on pricing and invoice queries.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Language Requirements
Good knowledge of promotions and how they work.
Understanding of the urgency associated with the work.
Knowledge of New Product Development and Product substitution concepts.
Good communicator (both written & verbal) comfortable talking to NAMs and their customers and understanding ramifications of errors.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a business or related discipline.
Core Competencies
Excellent numerical and planning skills.
Proficient communication and ability to demonstrate effective communication.
Competent at using data, analysis and systems to drive insight into action.
Strong persuasive, negotiation, and presentation capabilities.
Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
Pro‑efficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Experience
Graduate role.
FMCG background advantage.
Full clean driving licence.
