We're partnering with a
globally recognised luxury retail business
to appoint a
Senior Legal Manager
for one of its flagship European locations.
This is a high-impact, hands-on legal leadership role, offering exposure to complex commercial arrangements, senior stakeholders, and a fast-paced, international environment.
The opportunity
Reporting into senior leadership, you'll lead the on-site legal function and act as a trusted advisor across the business. The role blends
commercial leasing, brand partnerships, corporate governance, and regulatory oversight
, with real influence over strategic decisions.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and develop the local legal function, owning performance and priorities
* Draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of
commercial contracts
, including brand, leasing, services, and marketing agreements
* Support commercialisation and leasing activity, working closely with senior stakeholders and external counsel
* Advise the business on
EU, national, and local legal and regulatory changes
* Provide pragmatic legal guidance across retail, marketing, operations, finance, and construction matters
* Manage legal risk, including insolvency-related issues and potential disputes
* Oversee
brand compliance
, audits, and post-contractual obligations
* Support corporate governance matters (board materials, powers of attorney, corporate transactions)
* Advise on
IP protection
, data protection compliance, and insurance matters
* Control external legal spend and manage relationships with external advisors
About you
You'll be a commercially minded legal professional who enjoys being close to the business and influencing outcomes.
* Qualified lawyer in the local jurisdiction
* Typically 5
+ years' post-qualification experience
* Strong background in
commercial contracts and marketing law
* Confident negotiator with sound commercial judgement
* Able to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical advice
* Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders independently
* Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
