Job Description Summary
We are looking for a Global Automation & Digital Manager to join our Engineering & Transformation (E&T) – Automation & Digital team as a key leader driving innovation across our global Pharmaceutical Diagnostics manufacturing sites. In this strategic role, you will serve as the subject matter expert for automation and digitalization in “the make,” leading the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies and smart manufacturing solutions. Reporting to the Europe-based Automation & Digital Leader, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams worldwide to shape and execute a forward-thinking digital strategy that transforms operations and delivers measurable impact.
Responsibilities
Job Description
* Responsible for Advanced Automation blue print design across PDx
* Work closely with E&T team and NPI team to build roadmap for Visual Inspection, Robotics, Process Analytical Technology, Plant Modernization etc.
* Lead Plant Modernization exercise for PDx from Automation & Digital
* Build up a best-in-class knowledge sharing community & partnership in automation community that will define, implement, and sustain global standards and processes.
* Strong advocate of harmonization in technologies and processes that foster replication and knowledge sharing.
* You will own the relevant technology guidelines while ensuring that the related standards are developed and communicated
* Develop & nurture core competencies of the automation and digital personnel at the sites to ensure the right technical capabilities and know-how are in place and sustained for the years to come
* Assess PDx’s technology and automation landscape across the network
* Identify opportunities for new technology introduction- assess productivity potential-define technology blue print- gap assess sites and prepare project initiation for roll out.
* Enable manufacturing sites to bring OEE and TPM to world class standards with introduction of Plant Wide Historian and equipment connectivity
* Manage and drive contractors, external vendors
* Support Sites to select and develop Automation and Digital talent to ensure the availability of highly competent people with the correct Values & Behaviours
Qualifications And Requirements
* Eager to lead a discipline in Automation and Digital transformation with a proven track record of owning and implementing new technology introductions in manufacturing sites
* Degree in Engineering or equivalent
* Fluency in English is a MUST and others are helpful
* Significant experience in GMP manufacturing experience, preferably in sterile/aseptic fill & finish and radiopharmaceuticals.
* Deep working knowledge of any of the disciplines related to Industry 4.0 in Pharma Manufacturing or similar especially in Visual Inspection, Robotics, Process Analytical Technology or Plant Modernization
* 8 years’ experience in global automation and digital roles, supporting multiple sites is desirable
* Strong communication, influencing and coaching skills
* Extended GxP and HSE knowledge in relevance to new technologies
* Strategic thinking and ability to map and devise strategy and implementation. Ability to think outside the box
* Ability to travel globally (30-40%)
