Dominic OConnor Ltd is a leading mechanical and construction services contractor delivering commercial and industrial projects across Ireland. Due to continued growth and increased regulatory requirements, we are seeking an experienced
BCAR Coordinator
to support project delivery and ensure full compliance with the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations.
The Role
The BCAR Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing BCAR compliance across multiple projects, working closely with project managers, site teams, design teams, Assigned Certifiers, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate BCAR compliance from project commencement to completion
* Manage and maintain BCAR documentation, including the Inspection Plan and Compliance Documentation
* Liaise with Assigned Certifiers, Design Certifiers, Client Representatives, and Building Control Authorities
* Ensure timely submission of Commencement Notices, Inspection Plans, and Completion Certificates
* Coordinate and track ancillary certificates from subcontractors and designers
* Support project teams in understanding BCAR obligations and documentation requirements
* Maintain accurate records and BCAR trackers across all projects
* Identify and proactively resolve BCAR-related risks or gaps
Requirements
* Strong understanding of BCAR and Irish building control processes
* Previous experience in a BCAR coordination, compliance, or project support role
* Excellent organisational and document control skills
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
* Effective communication skills and ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
* Competent in Microsoft Office and document management systems
Desirable
* Construction, engineering, architectural, or technical qualification
* Experience in mechanical, M&E, or construction contracting environments
* Familiarity with Assigned Certifier processes and site inspection regimes
* Experience working with Building Control Management Systems (BCMS)
