Responsibilities & Qualifications
Qualification required: A full degree in Social Care/Studies or a relevant third-level qualification at degree level (e.g., Social Work, Psychology) is essential.
If the qualification was obtained outside the state, it must be recognised by NARIC as equivalent to Irish level 8.
Proof of successful registration with CORU as a Social Care Worker or proof of an application in progress with CORU.
Two years of management experience with responsibility for a team of employees.
Proven knowledge of current legislation and regulations relating to the Social Care sector.
Understanding of the needs and rights of individuals with autism.
Proven ability to work on own initiative.
Ability to work alone in coordinating and managing developing services.
Proven experience in the implementation and development of support/care plans and PCPs.
Places the needs of the person supported as the key focus in all activities.
Delivers support according to the person's PCP and care plan.
Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
Full, clean driver's licence is essential.
