Capcon Engineering are The Rainwater Specialists providing design consultation and sub-contractor services for architects, engineers, and main contractors in large scale construction.We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day finance operations at our Head Office in Maynooth. This role is ideal for someone who already has a solid understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, can work confidently with minimal supervision, and is able to use their own initiative to manage workloads effectively. The role will be part-time, ideally 5 mornings a week but open to flexibility, working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate and timely financial processing and reporting.Your ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable (AP)Processing supplier invoices accurately and in a timely mannerSupplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepanciesPreparation of payment runsHandling supplier queriesWeekly AP reportingAccounts Receivable (AR)Raising and processing customer invoicesAssisting with query resolution and account reconciliationsDebt chasing and credit control supportBanking & ReconciliationsWeekly bank reconciliations for multiple accountsInvestigating and resolving reconciling itemsGeneral Finance SupportAssisting with ad-hoc finance tasks as requiredSupporting the Finance Manager with reporting and month-end activitiesPrepare financial reports, schedules, and balance sheet supportMaintain organized financial records and support auditsManage ad-hoc tasks for the finance departmentYour ResponsibilitiesMinimum 3 year's + experience in a similar Accounts Assistant roleATI qualification is desirableProficiency with accounting software -Sage, Excel intermediate levelAbility to work on own initiative and manage tasks independentlyA self-starter with a proactive and problem-solving approachHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailStrong organisational and time-management skillsConfident communicator, able to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers/customersMaintains confidentiality and high standards of integrityBenefitsThe position will have:Annual leave – 21 days (Pro Rata)Pension SchemeOnsite parkingOpen to flexible working hoursFully funded team social events
