About the role

• €65,000k salary
• Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Duties include (but not limited to):
* Develop and execute procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and negotiate favorable contracts for materials, equipment, and services.
* Oversee inventory management, track materials accurately, and coordinate timely transportation to project sites.
* Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to forecast material needs and ensure smooth supply chain operations.
* Monitor and control supply chain costs, implement cost-saving initiatives, and prepare budgets for procurement activities.
* Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensure adherence to regulations and safety standards, and conduct regular audits.
* Analyse supply chain performance, provide management reports, and train/develop team members to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
Position requirements
* Education & Experience: Third-level qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field with 3+ years’ experience in supply chain management, ideally in construction.
* Procurement & Logistics Expertise: Proven skills in procurement, inventory management, logistics, cost control, and knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor management.
* Commercial Acumen: Experience at Senior Purchasing Management level (+3 years), preferably within the Irish construction market.
* Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Strong presentation, engagement, and influencing skills to drive positive outcomes with stakeholders.
* Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), purchasing platforms, and ERP systems.
* Leadership & Teamwork: Excellent organisational, time management, and people management skills; works effectively to enhance performance and minimise risks.
