Title: Night Hatch Supervisor (11 PM – 7 AM) | Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available
Objective
To assist the Retail & Forecourt Manager in supervising the site and operations therein during the nighttime period.
Responsibilities
* Supervise the activities of all retail and forecourt activities during your shift to ensure necessary tasks are completed to an appropriate level.
* Ensure high-quality and consistent customer service is provided at all times.
* When required, conduct effective induction and training of any new nighttime employees.
* Communicate operational matters to daytime staff, provide a proper handover if issues are outstanding.
* Assist the retail and forecourt manager in the effective management of the retail store and forecourt, in particular communicating any customer requests at night and bringing forward any new ideas for improving the service we offer.
Operations
* Ensure store is merchandised in a customer-friendly and competitive manner, complying with company procedures and guidelines.
* Maintain housekeeping in the store at an optimum level.
* Adhere to the appropriate cash register and cash handling policy.
* Carry out all nighttime duties regarding cleaning or servicing of equipment (e.g., coffee machines) in keeping with procedure to ensure top quality products to our customers.
* Ensure customers receive high-quality and consistent service at all times.
* Deal with and rectify customer complaints effectively and pleasantly.
* Proactively take necessary action in store improvements following customer complaints.
Stock Management
* Assist the manager in minimising stock loss through wastage, damage and pilferage.
* Ensure food management and waste systems are adhered to.
* Check stock to ensure adequate stock is available for customers' needs.
* Ensure stock is rotated appropriately to ensure in-date stock is available and minimise waste.
* Follow company policy and procedure in relation to display and storage of stock.
* Ensure any stock taken in is of saleable quality, in date, and undamaged before signing in.
Legislation & Security
* Assist the manager as appropriate in matters relating to managing staff, ensuring compliance with Labour Law, HACCP, Health & Safety, and Consumer Legislation.
* Identify and reduce potential hazards in the store, or remove/eliminate where possible.
* Work with the Store Manager to ensure Health & Safety checks are conducted and actioned accordingly.

Work Environment
Fast-paced, non-stop environment. At times physically demanding due to business requirements such as volume, staffing levels, and preparedness. High business volumes may require prolonged periods of standing without the opportunity to sit down.
