Our client is currently recruiting a Site Engineer and/or Site Manager in the Mayo/Galway region to work with their highly skilled team on a large project. You will be part of a team that will be responsible for delivering technical excellence to the project. Responsibilities of the role include:
1. Establish and maintain procedures with design team, clients and subcontractors for information flow, approvals, meetings and reporting.
2. Setting out using total station & GPS equipment.
3. Record all daily activities, relevant information and occurrences in the site management system
4. Comply with ISO company procedures.
5. Reporting to the management team on the programme schedule and ensuring compliance with plans, specifications and building standards.
6. Undertaking surveys and ensuring engineering details are being followed on site.
7. Supervising subcontractors and checking the quality of works.
8. Conduct document reviews, scheduling and attending site meetings to ensure overall compliance with the building schedule.
9. Reporting to the Project Manager and senior management team on all aspects of engineering relating to the project.
10. Ensuring compliance with agreed construction methods, particularly those relating to Quality Assurance and Health & Safety.
11. Manage project close-out, including securing warranties, guarantees and acceptance of work, subcontract and vendor closing, including as-built submissions.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience;
12. 3+ years in a similar role.
13. Engineering Degree/Diploma or relevant experience
14. Knowledge of construction techniques and being competent in all aspects of setting out, surveying, and temporary works.
15. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
16. Strong IT skills with good knowledge of MS Office & CAD.
17. A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within Irish construction sites.
18. Strong Management Skills.
19. Full Irish Driving licence.
