Job Title: Document Controller / Assistant Project Manager

The Opportunity: They are currently seeking a highly organised and ambitious Document Controller / Assistant Project Manager to join the team in Dublin. Key Responsibilities:
As Document Controller:
* Implement and maintain robust document control systems for a large capital works program, ensuring all project documentation (drawings, specifications, RFI's, submittals, correspondence, reports) is managed effectively.
* Ensure strict version control, proper naming conventions, and timely distribution of all project documents.
* Manage the electronic document management system (EDMS), facilitating access for all authorized project stakeholders.
* Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with project procedures.
* Coordinate the review and approval cycles for project documentation, tracking progress and deadlines.
* Manage the archiving and retrieval of project records at all stages.
As Assistant Project Manager:
* Provide comprehensive support to the Senior Project/Program Managers on the capital works program.
* Assist with the development and monitoring of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
* Facilitate communication and coordination between various project stakeholders, including clients, design teams, contractors, and internal teams.
* Prepare project progress reports, presentations, and meeting minutes.
* Track key project milestones, deliverables, and actions, ensuring timely completion.
* Assist in identifying and managing project risks and issues.
* Participate in project meetings, contributing to discussions and problem-solving.
Qualifications
* A relevant qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Proven experience (2+ years preferred) in a Document Controller role within the construction or engineering sector.
* Some demonstrable experience or a keen interest in project coordination or assistant project management.
* Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
* Proficiency in electronic document management systems (EDMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of project personnel.
* A proactive, self-motivated, and analytical approach to problem-solving.
* Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member in a demanding environment.
* Experience on large capital works projects is a distinct advantage.
