Overview
ATG are seeking an ambitious and experienced Associate Structural Engineer to join a Dublin office.
The successful candidate will play a key role in leading design teams, managing projects, and providing technical leadership on a wide variety of structural engineering projects.
You will be a client-facing representative, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard while supporting the strategic growth of the business.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage structural design projects from concept through to completion.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians.
Carry out detailed structural analysis and design across steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures in accordance with Eurocodes and Irish Building Regulations.
Review and approve design deliverables, drawings, and reports.
Engage with clients, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to develop strong working relationships.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
Contribute to business development through bid preparation, proposal writing, and client presentations.
Ensure all work is compliant with health & safety, quality, and sustainability standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland or equivalent professional body.
8+ years' experience in structural design and project delivery, ideally within consultancy.
Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams on medium to large-scale projects.
Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, Irish/UK building regulations, and industry standards.
Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., Tekla, Robot, Etabs, Tedds, or similar).
Commercial awareness and ability to contribute to business development.
