We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor. The company manufactures high-quality products for the pharmaceutical and medical device markets.
Reporting to the Site Lead and Regional HSE Manager, you will play a key role in driving health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure site compliance with current HSE legislation, best practices, and internal standards.
2. Manage and review Risk Assessments (RAs) and Safe Working Operating Procedures (SWOPs).
3. Deliver site inductions and HSE training for new staff, contractors, and visitors.
4. Lead incident reporting and investigation processes, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
5. Conduct regular internal audits and safety inspections, maintaining HSE records and documentation.
6. Coordinate the site safety committee and manage HSE communications, including KPI reporting.
7. Oversee PPE inventory and support site teams in hazard identification and risk mitigation.
8. Contribute to the ongoing development and monitoring of the site safety plan.
Requirements:
9. Relevant HSE qualifications (e.g., IOSH/NEBOSH).
10. Strong knowledge of H&S and Environmental legislation and systems.
11. Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
12. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage across all levels of the organisation.
13. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
14. Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
