The cleaning staff panel will be formed to fill vacant positions and provide cover for sick leave and extended leave for existing cleaning staff, sometimes at short notice. The panel will be based in SETU, Waterford campuses. Cleaning staff will work as part of the Estates Office at the University.
Cleaning staff are required to work a minimum total of 20 hours per week during semester times only, usually 26 weeks per year. Shifts are usually 4/5 hours in duration over a 5 day period (Monday to Friday) anytime between 8am to 10pm.
