Facilities Technician - CHQ Group
CHQ Ltd is seeking a motivated and hands-on Facilities Technician to support the day-to-day operation of The chq Building and its tenants.
This role is ideal for someone with a practical mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and experience working with tools in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily facilities operations including general building maintenance, management of facilities stores and stock and assist with furniture and equipment logistics.
Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety procedures.
Proactively identify tasks and opportunities to support the team when immediate duties are complete.
Provide administrative support including purchase order requests, early/late opening requests, ticket management and extra cleaning requests.
Attend team meetings and contribute to cross-departmental coordination.
Assist with monitoring progress of food hall building works and report updates to the Facilities Manager.
Maintain food hall units once live including kitchen equipment upkeep, responding to power outages, addressing drain blockages, and supporting PPM delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
Strong all-round skill set and practical mindset with ability to use tools for repairs and maintenance tasks.
Willingness to undertake training (e.g., working at heights, hoist operations).
3+ years relevant experience preferred.
Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office essential) and communication skills and fluency in English.
Punctual, reliable, and flexible—ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
Basic understanding of fire protection systems, mechanical and electrical systems, and AV systems.
