COMPANY ACCOUNTANTRole OverviewWe are an advisory-focused accountancy practice seeking a qualified accountant to join our team.This role sits between the requirements of practice and industry. You will work closely with small and medium sized clients, acting as their outsourced finance lead, producing high-quality monthly management accounts and providing clear financial insight to support decision-making at owner, management and board level.The role requires strong technical ability, excellent communication skills, and the discipline to meet strict month-end deadlines, while operating with a high degree of personal initiative and ownership.Key ResponsibilitiesMonthly Management Accounts (Core Product)Preparation and delivery of accurate, timely month-end accounts for a portfolio of clients, including:Monthly Profit & Loss AccountMonthly Balance SheetDebtors (Aged Receivables) ListingCreditors (Aged Payables) ListingVAT ReconciliationPAYE / Payroll ReconciliationMonthly Cashflow Forecast, including cash position for the month aheadAll month-end work must be completed in line with agreed deadlines to facilitate scheduled client finance/management/board meetings.Budgeting & ForecastingPreparation of an annual rolling budgetSupporting budgeted Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and CashflowUpdating forecasts during the year to reflect trading performanceScenario and sensitivity analysis where requiredClient Advisory & MeetingsPreparing clear, decision-ready financial packs for:Monthly finance meetingsManagement meetingsBoard meetingsAttending and contributing to monthly meetings, explaining results in plain, commercial languageProactively identifying financial risks, opportunities, and performance trendsSupporting clients with cash management, working capital, and financial planningGeneral & Practice ResponsibilitiesManaging your own workload and deadlines with minimal supervisionMaintaining high standards of documentation and audit trailWorking collaboratively with internal bookkeeping, payroll, and tax teamsContributing to continuous improvement of internal processes and templatesSalary & BenefitsSalary: DOEPension: Employer matched pension contribution up to 5% after 12 months' serviceDeath in Service: Company death in service policyOther: Free parkingStatus: Full-time, permanentRight to Work: Applicantsmustalready have the legal right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
